Guess what? I've discovered a new drink!! You know how I love my diet cokes, right? Well, I also love diet orange crush...and.....now there's a little drink powder kinda like Crystal Light that you can put in your water, AND IT TASTES LIKE DIET ORANGE CRUSH!!!! Isn't that great? It was on sale at my Harris Teeter this week, so I bought 3 boxes of them. I shared them with some girls at work today, too - to spread the cheer. I've also discovered a sparkling water(black cherry) that I like..
So for the first time ever, I'm okay with this challenge! Yaaaaaayyyyyyy me!
Oh, and happy Cinco de Mayo, and Happy Kentucky Derby day!

April 1---No Joke
Hooray, it's April!! We went to the campground this weekend and I was reminded all over again:::::::I MISS DC!!! I know, I know....it's not that important. I just missed my soda, that's all. I truly am getting used to drinking more water, and coffee, too. But, sometimes I want a diet coke, okay? Frank says I may not ever want to drink one again, but I told him to think again, hahaha. Oh, well, there's bigger issues in the world. I'll be fine...really.

31 DAYS!!!
Can you believe it's been 31 days since sipping my last Diet Coke?! Sometimes it feels like it, other times, not so much. I realize it's been a habit, one of my many bad ones. So... have I noticed any changes? Um..well...I seem to be drinking a cup of coffee now in the afternoons. There are certain times I really miss my DCs, too. But, all in all, I think I'm grumbling a lot about something that doesn't need so much time devoted to it.
My Son-in-Law has adjusted WAYYYYY better than I have...he has a really good attitude about everything.
You know what? We've made it through a whole month...1/12 of the year! WooHoo!!

Jan. 11
WOW! Can you believe I've gone 11 whole days without a single soda?! I would never, ever have dreamed that to be possible. Since I last wrote, I've had some gum surgery, and some computer malfunctions. That's not to say that it's gotten easy to skip my soda...it's still hard...but I've been a little distracted. Now...my sisters are going tomorrow for a beach weekend. I'm so excited to be going with them, but you know when you go out to eat, especially if it's fast food, you've just got to get a soda! I'll have to force myself to push another drink from the dispenser!!
This probably sounds so silly to you, and it might be silly to me in another couple of months, and I'm ashamed to say that something so trivial means so much to me, but well...it really does!
I hope Garet is having an easier time than I am. But...I AM proud of us both!

Waaaahhhhh!!
I must be a baby, but I really missed my DC with my pizza tonight! Maybe I'm addicted . Wonder how long it'll take for me to get used to it. Wonder if I'll like it next year when I try it again? Wonder who wrote the book of love? lol

Day 2
I'm not sure I'll post something every day, and when I do, it may not always be about my "resolution". Since I'm on here, let me just say..."Fruit punch isn't always the best tasting beverage to drink with your lunch."
That being said, my children/spouses, grandchildren, and granddogs have all gone home. Just Frank and me now. I'm a little sad, but I'm happy they have homes. We're so proud of them. :)
